Seasonal Lay-Up Services
Seasonal Boilers need extra attention during the summer months. Steel or cast iron boilers should never be left dry during the off season. Instead, a lay-up procedure should be completed. For this procedure, Metro’s boiler mechanic will apply the appropriate dose of corrosion inhibitor and fill the boiler above the steam line to the very top. This process purges out any air from the boiler and minimizes corrosion while the boiler is off.
