    ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

    • Maintain and improve a variety of existing web applications

    Estimator/Project Manager-South Hackensack, NJ

    National Mechanical, a division of The Metro Group, Inc., is seeking a qualified Estimator/Project Manager for their Installation Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating installation and repair of HVAC and Mechanical systems and projects. The role is based in our South Hackensack, NJ office and involves work sites throughout the NYC-metro area.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Preparing cost estimates and proposals, including thorough review of bid documents, development of RFIs, completing project take-offs, collecting pricing from subcontractors and suppliers, accurately identifying labor requirements, etc., in accordance with project documentation
    • Accurately and comprehensively understanding the scope of work and customer requirements in order to develop a Proposal in line with the desired project outcome

This position supports the Installation and Contract Department while enhancing synergy, processes, and administrative actions. This person will coordinate special projects in addition to scheduling, record keeping, typing, filing and overall workflow optimization.     Role and Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

    • Maintain electronic bid schedule
    • Manage proposal reporting
    • Research and document bid opportunities
    • Facilitate project setup via company software
    • Order Bid Bonds from bonding company
    • Request and follow up for receipt of plans and specifications from job owners
    • Perform data entry and downloading of bid information
    • Prepare documentation and process pre-qualifications
    • Assist Proposal Coordinators with documentation required for proposals
    • Assist with Design Build Technical Proposals
    • Contact subcontractors via phone or email to request quotes and documentation
    • Process, prepare and deliver bid documents to bid openings. Submit electronic bids for various agencies
    • Assist with bid communication and documentation regarding status of bids
    • Announce bid results to appropriate personnel
    • Maintain resume database for project reference purposes
    • Assist Accounting Department with qualification reports for business licenses
    • Work with State, City and County authorities or other job owners as needed
    • Oversee and manage tasks related to estimating and handoff of awarded projects to contracting department
    • Leverage technology to manage and create operational efficiencies and improve workflows
    • ·Assist Contracts department with MBE documentation if project is awarded
    • Schedule/handle arrangements for inhouse estimating meetings/luncheons
    • Perform office administrative duties – ordering supplies, supporting front desk duties, maintain faxes, process mail and deliveries, enter salaried timesheets, etc.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • High School diploma with 2 or more years of college or equivalent experience
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative environment
    • Customer service oriented with good communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
    • Skills in calendar management, planning, prioritizing with superior organization habits
    • Problem assessment and resolution
    • Documentation, monitoring with attention to detail and accuracy

Technician must have experience cutting, fitting, and installing pipe insulation and the components of insulation systems in an industrial setting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing installation and construction projects involving electrical systems while working closely with our management teams, field teams, and estimators to ensure best-in-class customer satisfaction. The role is based in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY.

    Roles and Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

    • Plan, manage, and implement multiple medium- to large-scale electrical projects at once
    • Execute project plans and scope according to the project documents, plans, budget and timeline
    • Create and maintain project schedule
    • Determine project resource requirements (i.e., staffing, staging, etc.)
    • Effectively lead, manage, and communicate with sub-contractors, vendors, internal team members and management
    • Provide professional representation at coordination meetings, including documentation of meeting minutes notes and future action items
    • Ensure close coordination with the estimating and field operation teams to capture key project information and for successful job approach and implementation
    • Mitigate project risk and issues, manage project changes
    • Provide best in class customer service; accurately and comprehensively understanding customer requirements and translating those requirements into actionable steps
    • Provide regular project status updates and reporting to management

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Electrical and/or Mechanical degree preferred
    • Demonstrated knowledge of Electrical systems to be confirmed during a field interview
    • Knowledgeable of the submittal and ordering process; including vendor negotiations and material buyouts, sequencing of orders, and quality control
    • Ability to prepare cost estimates and proposals
    • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including climbing ladders/stairs to view system components, maneuvering in mechanical rooms, and workspaces
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and working on multiple projects at same time
    • Excellent time management skills and prioritization of tasks to meet deadlines
