Chimney Inspections
Chimney inspections are a quick and simple way to ensure your fuel burning devices have the proper venting in place. The National Fire Protection Association recommends “Level 1” inspections be completed annually. Level 1 inspections are ideal for chimneys/flues that have not changed in the past year, and do not have any changes planned in the near future. Level 1 inspections include examining the readily accessible portions of the interior and exterior of the chimney by viewing the chimney from the top and the base. The inspector will be looking for blockages, build-up, broken or unlined flue, and the basic soundness of the structure. A detailed report of findings and recommendations will be issued. Level 2 and Level 3 inspections are also available if necessary.
