Metro District Manager Mark Botsford, CWT, has become latest member of the Metro team to become a Certified Legionella Specialist per the ASSE 12080 Standard.
In April 2020, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) designated the American Society of Sanitary Engineers (ASSE) 12080 Professional Qualifications Standard for Legionella Water Safety and Management as an American National Standard.
The ASSE 12080 Standard defines the minimum qualifications required to become a Certified Legionella Specialist. Certified Legionella Specialists are qualified to develop water management and sampling plans to reduce the risk of Legionella and other water borne pathogens in building water systems and perform risk assessment analysis.
John Caloritis, Technical Director for The Metro Group, Inc. was a member of the working group tasked with developing this Standard. The working group was compromised of the industry’s leading experts and authorities on the subject of Legionella and Water Management.
This Certification provides clients of The Metro Group with the assurance that all Water Management Plans & Recommendations are signed off on by individuals possessing the most up to date knowledge and skillsets the industry can provide, and adds to the list of credentials and experience that set the Metro Group apart as a leader in Water Safety & Management for the control of Legionella.
