During our inspection, we determined that the existing chimney system had failed at the joint seams. As a result, exhaust gases were no longer being properly contained within the flue and were escaping through the sidewalls of the system, allowing fumes to enter the building.
This project presented a unique challenge because an existing chimney stack ran through the building. Rather than installing a liner within the existing chamber, the existing stack needed to be removed so a new chimney exhaust system could be installed to meet the building’s specific requirements.
