Acid Testing for Brick
Acid Testing for Brick: Metro Group will take and send sample brick to a lab where it will be tested on both ASTM Standard C270, “Standard Specification for Chemical Resistant masonry Units”, and also a method on Acid Corrosion Resistance of Refractory Ceramics.
The brick will be at the lab testing for 21 days. We will be able to provide findings approximately 28 days after the sample is removed from the chimney. This is meant to test the acid resistance of the brick which is typically found in “fire brick”
